SUGGESTIONS Defender Yan Valery has revealed former Chelsea player Eden Hazard is the toughest striker he has faced, insisting “you can’t predict what he’s going to do”.

The 23-year-old French player came back to beat the Belgian superstar in 90 minutes of Premier League clash in February 2019.

Hazard scored 16 goals in 37 games in that league, before completing a move to Real Madrid in the summer.

The former Lille prodigy was also the FWA Player of the Year in 2015, and Valery insists no opponent has given him more trouble.

“There are many, but the one that impressed me the most, I would say it was Eden Hazard,” the Saints defender told footmercato.

“Honestly, he’s a player you can’t predict what he’s going to do and even when he’s back in goal he’s still alive.”

He continued: “Actually, he’s perfected, he’s technically strong, but he’s also vibrant, strong, super tough and with him you have to stay focused until the 90th minute. + 4”.

However, the match ended in a 0-0 draw with Valery keeping his opposing numbers sufficiently quiet throughout the competition.

“He can create something great at any time and before us he didn’t have a crazy game, but I feel he is a special person,” Valery added.
